Mary J. Blige is one of my favorite artists. It seems like yesterday I was listening to her first album '411'. Now she has realeased her seventh album 'Love and Life'. I like her music because I can relate to a lot of the lyrics in her song. She brings passion and life to her songs. If you haven't experienced anything she is singing about, at the end of the song you will feel like you have.

Her first album '411' was full of hip hop songs and love ballads. After this album she was rightfully named The Queen of Hip Hop / Soul. Some of my favorites from this album are:

2. Sweet Thang
3. 411

Since releasing her last album Mary has married Kendu Issacs. I was extremely happy for her. She has been through a lot with bad relationships and drugs. Personally I don't think 'Love and Life' is her best album. Yet, it shows how she has changed from her first album. 'Love and Life' shows the tender, loving side of Mary. Where as '411' showed the young, vibrant, carefree side of Mary.
